9am Get It Done meeting

Added value bonus from IHOP to all who attend "Get It Done!" Success Groups = a buy 5 and get the 6th meal FREE!  Extra cool for me personally because I am there at IHOP twice on Thursdays!

Attendees left today with specific things being accomplished and a good feeling inside!  "Thanks Irene!"

Another WRITER joins "Get It Done!" Success Group

June 23, 2011

Another writer joined the "Get It Done!" group.  While she did attend the Thursday 9am group, the 6pm will work better for her schedule!  Whooo hoooo!  Another person on their way to fulfilling a dream, with the inspiration from "Get It Done!"

Went to Glazer Kennedy Insiders Circle ...

I went to GKIC mini seminar last night.  There was such a big group last night.  We learned a little about Mike Crow, the leader and some of his personal success tips and other no - nonsense marketing strategies!  Check it out for yourself!

Great to see folks MOVE FORWARD with their lives!

The folks who made it to the information presentations yesterday about "Get It Done!" Success Groups took another step in MOVING FORWARD!  Some of the things they wanted to work on included getting their book written, moving forward with a new business, and some with just some personal goals.

Happy Easter or Happy Resurrection Day 2011

Pastor pointed out thismorning that the day we commonly call "Easter" was a day that changed ALL of history!

Every time we write the date and put the year down, we can be reminded that the year, 2011, means two thousand eleven years after the resurrection of Jesus!  The Resurrection puts the dividing line between "Before Christ and A.D."  It is awesome to think about.

Graduation Gift long overdue

The college student you know is finally graduating!  That is wonderful.

Now, the real world sets in.  What job can they get?  What career do they want?  Unfortunately, many colleges do a poor job of readying students for the real world of work. Oh yes, some have a day of on-campus interviews conducted by big corporations. Those corporations sometimes like to have 'fresh blood, new graduates' to fill entry-level jobs.

Lost a job?

If you have lost your job, whether it be for a poor job performance, frequent tardies, or just 'downsized', there are some important things to remember.  Among them is to remember that YOU are not your job. You are a person - a dad or mom or teen or grandparent etc who used to earn a living by doing your job.  It takes a little extra thought and practice to NOT say, "I am a plumber or architect or whatever" when asked, "What do you do?"

Job Loss

Are you or someone you know one of the many folks who have lost a job?  You owe it to yourself to get and read "Career Change Made Simple" written by Irene Barnard.  It is not just for career changers!

Following Through

Follow through is when you have decided or promised to do something. Now you need to DO it. (Maybe you promised yourself or someone else that you would do it)

Following Up

Follow up (FLUP) means that you have already had contact with someone, perhaps a client or someone has referred someone to YOU. So you need to flup with that lead/referral.
